To introduce and maintain a foster parent scheme to selected poor students who excel in studies as well as in other activities such as sports, arts etc;

To organize, maintain and uplift the educational activities and pre-training programs for the poor children and youth, who have no educational facilities.

To find opportunities for training in pre-vocational education in the fields of sports, computer training and mass media.
•
To teach English, Tamil and other languages to needy students.
•
To provide assistance to deserving students by way of providing scholarships, loans and grants to pursue studies and research in Sri Lanka and abroad.
•
‘Ran Nuwan Gaman’ scholarship scheme in memory of late Ratnasiri Rajapakse under the patronage of the Foundation.
•
To establish libraries, and to give assistance to regional libraries by way of financial and material donations in order to inculcate the reading habits of the young generation in Sri Lanka.
•
To provide facilities to educate children in computer science and information technology.
•
To utilize the youth labour for the welfare of the general public.
•
To train persons for leadership by organizing seminars, lectures and youth camps.
•
To commemorate or honour outstanding persons or institutions who or which have contributed towards national unity, by the grant of awards, prizes, scholarships and fellowships.
•
To uplift living standards by providing good education & sustainable basic facilities to needy communities in Sri Lanka.
